★英語のレッスン★Phrasal verbs～LESSON 123 Throw away～丁寧な英語その２
英語の勉強をしている皆様、お疲れ様です！
私のブログを見て頂いている皆様、ありがとうございます！
昨日丁寧な英語を使いたいという記事を書きましたが
それには伏線がありまして・・
ある日本のF1ドライバーの話なのですが
レース中の無線は今みんなに聞こえるようになっているそうです。
チームの人が無線で『Push! Push!』（行け！行け！）と言った時に
日本人ドライバーは 『Shut up!』と言ったそうです。
『Shut up!』 は因みに句動詞ですが、ここでは使うべきものではないのです。
ニュアンスとして 『うるさい！』という感じ。または『うるせー』
それでチームから反感をかって嫌われちゃったそうです。
他のドライバーは（ネイティブ）
Leave me alone! → 私をひとりにしといて！
Give me a drive! → 私に運転させなさい！
と言うそうです。
日本人ドライバーは上記の２つのような気持ちで 『Shut up!』
と言ったと思うのですが、ニュアンスが違ってしまいました。
結果、チームからは嫌われてしまったとか・・。

Chibi “My grandpa didn’t do such a thing.”
Chibi is hiding behind his mother.
Asuka “Don’t hide behind your mom ! Let us fight! ”
Chibi “I’m gonna pass on that today.”
Appleman acts as an emcee on the TV program ‘Why did the cat come to Japan?’
Himuro “Chibi is a big chicken ! He's definitely not a samurai cat.
Shitata “Yeah, I think so too, but why did Chibijiro leave his wife and daughter ?”
Himuro “Our producers investigated into the reason and we found out why Chibijiro threw away Asuka’s grandmother.”
Shitata “Really ?”
Himuro “ It was caused by a serious incident related to Japanese history.”
Shitata “I want to know.”
Himuro “I’m gonna pass up your request because it’s time to finish for today.”
Shitata “Oh, no ! ”
Himuro “The continuation is next week. ”
Shitata “We’re definitely not gonna pass it up next week. ”
Himuro “See you next week !”
今日のPhrasal verbs（句動詞）は
throw away
①～を捨て去る・～を投げ捨てる
②浪費する・無駄にする
③棒に振る・見逃す
Chibi threw away all of the junk mail without opening them.
チビは迷惑メールを全て開かずに捨てました
Chibi always throws away money, so he can’t set aside any money.
チビはいつも浪費をするのでお金を貯えることができません
She threw away the best years of her life.
彼女は人生の大切な時を棒に振ったのよ！
