LESSON 102 go by からチビ、チビ次郎（チビの祖父）とジョン万次郎のストーリーが
始まります。ジョン万次郎については以前ブログにも書きましたが、日本で１番に英語を習得した人物です。その他にもネクタイやジーンズなどを日本に取り入れたのもジョン万次郎です。ジョン万次郎の名前にも由来があります。そういったフィクションも取り入れて書き上げたストーリーです。まだまだストーリーは続きますのでよろしければお付き合いください。
英語のシナリオ 赤は句動詞です
日常会話でどのように句動詞が使われるか参考にしてください。

Chibi, mother, father, and Taro come out of the gate in Narita airport.
Chibi “Everybody has the same face which is different from America.”
Mother “You’re gonna get used to it as the days go by.”
When they go by some Japanese TV staff, a staff member calls out to them.
Producer “Excuse me, we are a Japanese TV program. Is an interview OK ?”
Chibi “Oh! Wow! Sure.”
Producer “Why did you come to Japan ?”
Chibi “We came to Japan to visit to my grandfather’s grave. ”
Producer “That’s wonderful !”
Father “What kind of TV show is this ?”
Producer “Our program is called ‘Why did the cat come to Japan ?’ and we interview cats who come to Japan.”
Mother “Oh, I see.”
Chibi “My grandpa's name was Chibijiro but he went by the name of Samurai Cat and he went to America. Do you know him ?”
Producer “Samurai Cat ? I’m sorry, I don’t know him.”
Chibi “So, do you know John Manjiro ?”
Producer “I don’t know him either.”
Hanako “I know him. He was the first man who mastered English in Japan, right ?”
Chibi “Yeah ! that’s right. My grandpa Chibijiro went to America with him.”
Producer “Really ?”
Mother “Yeah, it’s true.”
Producer “Please hold on a minute.”
The TV stuff are talking while looking at Chibi’s family from a distance.
Cameraman “I know John Manjiro and he was the greatest guy. He changed Japan. I don’t believe their story.”
Producer “Me neither. I don’t think the small cat’s ancestors were that great.“
Hanako “You always go by appearances but if that was true, we would pass up the chance to make a good program.”
Producer“Hey, look, his mother is putting on her make up.”
Cameraman “She wants to stand out on TV.”
Producer “It’s not wise to go by their word.”
Hanako “But we shouldn’t let such a good opportunity go by.”
Cameraman “All we can do is sit by and watch things go by, right ?”
Producer “Yep.”
The TV staff come back.
Producer “Could you tell us your schedule ?”
Mother “We will stay in Tokyo for a week. After that, we will go to Okinawa.”
Producer “Okinawa?”
Chibi “My grandpa's grave is at Tosa, but we’re gonna go by Okinawa beforehand.”
Producer “Why ?”
Mother “When John Manjiro and Chibijiro came back from America, they reached Okinawa at a beach called Manjiro beach, so we’re gonna go there at first.”
Chibi “We cats call it 'Chibijiro beach'.”
Producer “How are you gonna get to Tokyo ?”
Chibi “We’re gonna go by a highway bus.”
Producer “If it's ok, can we go with you ?”
Chibi “Sure.”
今日のPhrasal verbs（句動詞）は
